Zurich 2009

The European Pride Organisers Association (EPOA) has selected Switzerland, and more specificaly the city of Zürich to host the 2009 EuroPride.

the first events of the EuroPride will begin on May 2nd with the opening ceremony, followed by a big party.

The traditional Parade will take place in the streets of Zurich on June 6th. The floats and the participants are invited to gather at 1pm at the Port d’Enge, and the demonstration will start at 3pm.

At the end of the march, political speakers like Daniel Cohn Bendit, representative in the European Parliament, the mayor of Zurich city, Corinne Mauch and the Moldovan human rights activist Mihaela Copot will pronounce a few words.

After the demonstration, the evening and the night will be dedicated to parties. All the clubs in the city and around will celebrate EuroPride !

Between May and June, the organisers have prepared several cultural, political and scientific events. The most important among these events will probably be the week-end dedicated to sports, which will take place between May 30th and June 1st.
